Indoor plants can look great in your living space and really add to the decor. Taking care of a plant, however, is another issue entirely. If you are a busy person juggling work, family, a social life and everything else, taking care of a plant might not be high on your list of priorities.

Low light: lighting can be an issue in many homes, so be sure to choose a plant that needs little light. Something the ZZ plant would work perfectly.
Low water: having to water a plant everyday can be tough. No one wants to base their life around a plant's watering schedule. Instead go with a ponytail palm, which only needs to be watered once a week.
Large plants: if you are looking for a low maintenance plant that also acts as a decor piece, go with the spider plant. It need little light or water and is large enough to add flavor to a blank space in your apartment.
