Now that the rain has died down in So Cal we can finally get out of the house and enjoy nature again. One of the biggest parts of living in the area is enjoying the city’s beautiful parks and beaches. For those in the Marina del Rey area the Ballona Wetlands in Playa del Rey is one of the most gorgeous and fun places to take a weekend hike or spend some time relaxing with nature.<\/p>\n
The Wetlands are 340 acres of marsh, bluffs, and dunes that have slowly been restored over the last decade and turned into a fantastic community resource for people in the surrounding area. There are miles long hiking loops challenging enough to give even expert hikers a workout and smaller loops made for beginners and families with children in mind. If you plan to take a hike soon, just remember to come prepared with plenty of water and the correct hiking gear.<\/p>\n
